MEETING MINUTES
Minutes from meeting on
November 1, 2006 were reviewed. Lee
Bassett moved to approve and Kelley Smith seconded. All members voted to approve.
APPLICATIONS No open
applications
OTHER BUSINESS
Patel - Scenic Corridor Violation - Bob Block, Village Superintendent and Jim Hogue will measure the width of the
Patel scenic corridor within the next week.
The scenic corridor extends up to the east of the building. The
Committee discussed, further, the enforcements of all the requirements that are
part of the Patel approved application.
The Committee wants all CSC applicants
to inform us when their project is completed.
We would like a note to that effect to be added to the approval
letter. The Committee member handling
the application will be responsible for the contact. Warren Schmitt made the motion . Kelley Smith seconded and all Committee
members voted to approve.
The Long Grove Park District will inform the Briarcrest
Subdivision that they are not to be mowing the open space areas around the pond
in their subdivision. This area is Park
District conservancy and is to be left in a natural state.
Bob Borg brought
up the fact that the berm on RT. 22 and Old McHenry Road is still being
mowed. Jim Hogue said the Plan
Commission gave them approval for berm mowing for 3-5 years. The Plan Commission needs to be informed that
the Scenic Corridor ordinance prohibits mowing of these
areas. The Committee will follow up and
see that the mowing stops when the approval time expiries. Warren Schmitt
suggested that our Committee meet with the Plan Commission and the Village
Board. We feel other Village groups need
to know what we do and why we do it.
Kelley Smith offered to make an outline for a presentation.
Discussion of possible
candidates for the 7th position on our Committee. Ellen Deasy and Lee Bassett will make phone
calls to two possible candidates.
